Well, I'm one of those people out there who accidentally forgot my Folder Lock password b'coz I haven't used the software I installed for quite a month. It's sort of my short memory loss syndrome. I was struggling for 5 days trying to remember that brilliant password I created that was somewhat stuck on whichever part of my miniature size brain.
Just an info: The registration key that was given to a user after registering the program legally could be used to override the password that you had previously set. So instead of wasting your time remembering your forgotten password, you could simply replace it by your registration key.
If all else fails try this one. Meaning, another loss reg key is involved.
Anyway, here's what I did to solve this dilemma.
Just download any full version copy of folder lock with similar version of the one your using, example Folder lock v5.7.5 or something like that. Then just Install it. Then let it run automatically after the installation. You will be prompt to login using a new folder lock user id and folder lock registration key. You can use this
FolderLock User ID: NewSoft15805
FolderLock Registration Key: 221281703
After you have entered the information above, follow the programs procedures until registration is finish. Start folder lock and when the program ask for the password, use the folder Registration Key stated above.
Now that you have successfully entered the program, you can reconfigure it based on your preferences. Now if you want to uninstall the program which I did, click "options" and select uninstall. The system will require you to reboot your computer after it was uninstalled to remove unwanted folder lock backup files.
This worked for me but I can't guarantee if it will work for all versions. just give it a try if you want to, okay.

You are wonder boss. You saved me. I forgot the password and tried all the passwords that I can remember that I used in my life but was not lucky. To install new operating system you need to uninstall folder lock first or it will not allow to install. I searched the web for two days but there was no answer. I thank you for the post and keep doing the wonderful job.

4) Follow on screen instructions properly.
5)your password will be reset to 123 regardless of previous password.
Folder lock must be installed to use this Cracker, otherwise cracker wont work

None of these solutions worked for me.
Here's my problem:
I downloaded a file and later deleted (Erased) it. However, this left a 0kb .flk file which would not erase. I did not lock this file and it was not locked in any sense when I downloaded it. I have lost my password for the free trial of Folder Lock 6 so I cannot access it with that to delete it properly. I got the full version of Folder Lock, made a new password, but still when I try to open that locked 0kb .flk file it says "wrong password".
I have also tried the registry edit route and this has not helped either - I cannot delete the trial version of Folder Lock or delete those 0kb files WHATSOEVER!!!
What can I do? This program is a nightmare, it won't go away!!!

i.e. just create a new locker
then it asks for new password
type any new password n then the option page will appear
click on uninstall n your computer will restart
but one problem only this the locker you earlier created will not open

Try this: run registry by typing `regedit' after clicking Start button in Windows and then click Run. Then delete this string value:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > FolderLock6 > LastLockerPath
Then boot to Safe mode , hold F8 Key when start PC
Go to My Documents and search for a file name locker with extension (*FLK) or (*FLKW) and delete.
Reboot PC in normal mode , run the Folder lock program and click trial, then enter new password/confirm new password,MAKE SURE TO REMEMBER, I use 123456 for easy one
Then go to option, and uninstall the program as you wish

Hi thanks for this. Can you help with how to unlock a pen drive? I put a password on my pen drive, forgot it I've used up all my attempts and it is now telling me to format pen drive. I am desperate please help... my friend sent me a USB with important files in them, I once had the password and I lost it... he also had virus on his laptop so he change it, the virus wiped out all of his old files,so I can't retrieved the files he sent me anymore... even the email add that he use, he said he can't remember the password, its also in his old hard drive for he kept all of his email accounts in a word document... i am hopeful that someone can help me out here... please please badly needed the help...
